This session will acknowledge that as the digital economy continues to dominate, there will need to be better mechanisms for establishing trust between individuals and organisations.

It is clear that the payments system needs to continue to deliver the resilience, efficiency, accessibility and adaptability that a fully digital economy demands.

Facing this challenge, the Australian Payments Council brought together a diverse group of organisations from across the economy including banks, credit unions, payments schemes, retailers, a telco, and federal government to solve the issue of trust online.

Collaboration between this group led to the creation of the Trust ID framework that prioritises competition, innovation, and customer satisfaction.
