Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) is the decentralised digital recording platform that underpins cryptocurrencies. The application for this technology can be used in contexts much wider than cryptocurrencies – the most popular of which is Bitcoin and Ethereum.

With Australia managing the Secretariat of the International Technical Committee for Blockchain Standards (ISO/TC 307) and our Emerging Technology Lead, Nick Cliff, representing our members in the technical committee meetings, Australia is in a strong position to shape and influence the future of international blockchain standards.
